đź’¤ Daylight Savings đź’¤
For some of you, daylight savings is fast approaching and it seems many parents are starting to freak out! But my honest feeling on this one is that the stress is generally not warranted! So take a deep breathe!
In most cases, you actually don't need to do anything at all! Because the clocks are moving forwards, the transition should be pretty seamless, with early risers often balancing out their sleep cycles through this upcoming season! For non early risers, you can get baby up at the ideal time for you and adjust bedtime to match up!
Lots of outside time and light will also help as you will remember from my post on circadian rhythms. There may be some fussy days ahead but it should quickly balance out with this seasons clock change.
If you are genuinely feeling stressed about the change, you can absolutely start planning now. Over the coming 6 days start to wake baby 10 minutes earlier each day. Don’t forget to also move their daytime routine by 10 minutes each day too to shift that biological clock!
